The “Armenian Art” magazine

The “Armenian Art” («Հայ արվեստ»), quarterly, was published in Yerevan (2002-2008).

Editor in Chief Karen Matevosyan, Executive Director Hasmik Ginoyan, Executive Secretary Norayr Vartanyan.

Founders: the Momik Cultural Center and the “Seven Arts” Ltd.

Operation address: central Yerevan, #32, Republic street.


As of 2004, the Quarterly magazine was recognized by the Higher Commission of certifying dissertations and acceptable publications in the Republic of Armenia, and it was added to the list of acceptable publications.

As of 2005, the magazine was published in cooperation with the National Gallery of Armenia.

2005 - 2007, the magazine became bilingual, as it was published in English as well sponsored by the Swiss Armenian Union.

Over the years, the Editorial Council has included several personalities: Academician Varaztad Haroutyounyan, Murat Hasratyan, Shahen Khatchatryan, Paravon Mirzoyan, Martin Michaelyan, Daniel Yerajisht, Ararat Aghasyan, Sergey Khatchikoghlian, Hasmik Haroutyounyan, Samvel Khalatyan, Vardan Vardanyan, Artzvi Bakhshinyan, Levon Ladjigyan, and others.


The Magazine was distributed in the diaspora, in 14 communities, through the authorized representatives. During its 7 years of publication, the Armenian Art was the main periodical reflecting on the cultural life and events in Armenia and partially the diaspora. The nature of the publications has been informative, analytical, Critical, Artistic and above all interesting.
